Ad Kit
Although the advertising on wordpost.org is free this year, there are a few guidelines (all of which are subject to change in the event something, well, changes).
First, the upfront conditions:
- Only one ad goes up at a time.
- I reserve the right to determine if an organization will or will not be granted free space on this blog.
- Since I’m not terribly concerned with IAB standards, we can discuss size.
- If I have more requests than I can handle, preference will be given to any non-profits or charity organizations. I know this isn’t fair, but I’m making the rules.
- A representative from your organization must submit to a 10-minute interview with me.
- This interview will either be captured using a video service like wetoku or, if you’re stuck in 1999 and don’t have a webcam, via email.
- This also should give you some time to pitch your product and your site beyond the few pixels on the front page (although if you shamelessly pitch your company throughout the interview, I’ll take your ad down).
Ad sizes and submission
You should submit all ads to ads [at] wordpost [dot] org.
The banner that will go below posts (and in the RSS feed) will be the IAB recommended full banner:
If you feel like creating a customized ad, knock yourself out. The post ad should be no smaller than 440 x 60 and no larger than maximum 630 x 100:
Interview Details
The recorded interview won’t take any longer than 10 minutes.
I’ll send you a wetoku link just before the interview starts, we’ll chat for a few minutes, and I’ll jump right into it.
Each interview will simply ask you about your business and how you are using the internet to achieve your organizational goals. More specifically, I’ll ask how you see online trends and how they are affecting your course of action in business.
And that’s it.
Timeframe
Presently, all ads will run for two weeks.
